Available in six premixed colors, Storm System’s low VOC* Dual Dispersion one-coat technology provides the best features of traditional oil based paints and latex paints. We designed this Dual Dispersion Toned finish for wood, in order to accentuate your surface’s natural beauty. It has the excellent flow, leveling and durability of oil-based paint with and fast dry time and soap and water clean-up of latex paint. Trans-Oxide pigments give a longer life and deeper (richer) look than competing semi transparent products. Dual Dispersion Toned Finishes will resist cracking, peeling, blistering, and moisture.
Surfaces must be thoroughly dry to allow penetration. Surfaces must be clean and free from all other coatings that may prevent penetration. Always test a small area before application to the entire surface. All mildewed areas should be cleaned with Storm System All Surface Mold & Mildew Stain Remover. New pressure treated wood should be scrubbed with Storm System All Surface Cleaner to remove all surface deposits. Rinse thoroughly and allow to dry. Cedar, Redwood, Cypress and some other woods contain a natural water-soluble ingredient, “tannin,” that will show as a reddish-brown stain when it migrates to the wood surface. If these stains appear, they may be removed by washing with a mild detergent solution and rinsing with clear water. All surfaces should be sanded down to remove any dead wood fibers from the surface, to ensure proper penetration and adhesion. New Cedar or redwood siding may have Mill Glaze. Abrading the surface by sanding will ease the surface tension and allow for the stain to properly penetrate and adhere.

This product is of proper consistency as packaged, to be applied without thinning under normal environmental and application conditions. This product can be applied by synthetic brush, roller or spray. Stain only a few boards or small area at a time. Vertical boards or shingles should be stained continuously from the top, always working to the edge of a board or shingle to avoid overlapping. Horizontal siding should be started at the top and worked across, always working towards an edge or break such as a door or window. Avoid overlapping. Appearance varies with different species of wood. Samples should be tested on the actual wood being used to insure an acceptable appearance.
