Usage Instructions

FOR USE ON: Concrete surfaces usually found in pool decks, spa areas, patios, walkways and lanais.

READ AND FOLLOW ALL DIRECTIONS: Surfaces must be clean, dry and sound. Contaminants such as dirt, dust, grease, wax, oil, soap film, rust, mold, mildew, bond breakers and curing compounds must be removed be[1]fore application. Loose, chipping and peeling of previous coating must be removed before application. Repair holes and cracks with an appropriate patching material. Clean surfaces with bleach solution [one (1) part bleach to four (4) parts water] and a stiff bristle brush. If mildew is present, treat with a mildew remover. Rinse with clean water and let dry one (1) to two (2) days before application. Do not apply to damp surfaces or when surface temperature is below 50 °F (10 °C) or above 100 °F (37 °C). Do not apply if rain is prevalent. Do not thin.

SLIPPERY WHEN WET: Dyco recommends mixing SKID GARD #45 at 0.2lb. (3.2oz.) per gallon to the final coat if surface to be coated is a ramp, steps, or inclined plane; or is exposed to water from rain, sprinklers, pools or other means. If SKID GARD #45 is not available, see your paint specialist for a recommendation of a suitable aggregate to be used. NOTE: Adding SKID GARD to nonopaque coatings may alter final appearance. Test coating on a hidden area before applying to the entire surface.

PREPARING NEW AND PREVIOUSLY COATED SURFACES: Allow new exterior concrete to cure a minimum of 30 days before application. Pressure cleaning is recommended. Acid etching is not required. For previously coated surfaces, use DYCO 9040 TUFF GRIP as a bonding primer.

TINTING: Tint appropriate tint bases with approved colorants. Factory-tinted colors cannot be re-tinted unless indicated on label as tintable. When selecting colors, dark colors are better for high traffic areas and light colors are preferable for foot traffic areas such as patios, pool decks and walkways since light colors are cooler.

APPLICATION: Mix thoroughly before use. POOL DECK is a two (2) coat process. Apply first coat evenly with a medium nap roller, brush or airless sprayer. Do not leave puddles or roller marks. Coverage is 175-225 sq. ft./gal. depending on surface porosity and application method. Allow two (2) hours before applying the second coat. For color uniformity of the finish coat, combine and stir all containers together into one container. For a non-skid surface add DYCO SKID GARD Skid Resistant Texture Additive. Dries to touch in two (2) hour @ 77 °F (25 °C) and 50% Relative Humidity. Ready for recoat in two (2) hours. Ready for foot traffic in four (4) hours. Low temperature high humidity, thick films or poor ventilation will increase these dry times.

TOOLS & APPLICATORS / CLEANING: Medium nap roll[1]er, brush or airless sprayer. Cleans with soap and water. PRECAUTION: Do not freeze. Wear protective clothing and eyewear during application of this product. Do not transport on passenger seats or inside passenger compartment of any vehicle.
